KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maximize sales and profit by ensuring all stores are inventoried properly to their sales potential
- Manage the development of assortment plans in all departments and recommend alternative options where applicable
- Recommend and implement Allocation Strategy
- Ensure best practices are consistently in place and guidelines are being met
- Identify store level analysis opportunities, oversee analysis preparation, spearhead recommended action plan, coordinate and review with cross functional teams
- Effectively communicate and interact with Senior Store Management Team
- Provide all necessary business information to the allocation and cross functional teams
- Recommend flow strategy with seasonal items
- Responsible for monitoring new store development plans and inventories
- Quarterly analysis and hindsight:
- Provide supporting quantitative analysis to teams for hindsight and strategy meetings
- Participate in hindsight and strategy meetings with merchant team and upper management
- Responsible for development of the allocation team as organization grows
- Train store managers on replenishment recommendation process and oversee final recommendations given to merchant team
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1+ years experience in Merchandise Planning and Allocation in a retail environment
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Previous retail allocation experience required
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong organization, communication and development skills
- Management and training experience experience a plus
- Attention to detail and highly organized with the ability to effectively coordinate multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Team player that must be collaborative, positive, and proactive with a constructive attitude towards problem-solving
- Able to communicate progress and deliver results, must show excellent follow-through and hold yourself and others accountable
- Are self-directed and motivated to drive results beyond stated expectations.
- Possess a passionate, genuine interest in the fashion industry and a desire to cultivate digital marketing skills
- Fashion industry experience is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to effectively maneuver around warehouse and sales floor, repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing
- Must be able to work alone
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
